From this description of my motions at the ALI annual meeting, I fear that Mr. Swanson did not read them very carefully -- probably in common with most in attendance, who came from a wide range of interests. Compare, for example, the suggestion "Second, he wants public safety to be the narrower goal of any utilitarian reasoning about sentencing rather than the broader goal of increasing the amount of well-being in the world" with my proposal (motion No. 3) for a code aimed at "harm reduction." To judge for your self, read the text of the motions at http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/SMMarcus/MPC2007AM.htm

The project of American Criminal sentencing is too matucure and very greatful.

The citation to the ALI motions and related materials has changed, since "ourworld.compuserve" is shutting down. The ALI motions can now be accessed at http://www.smartsentencing.info/MPC2007AM.htm and the smart sentencing homepage is at http://www.smartsentencing.com

It's strange to see though, that despite the fact that a lot of employees are gay, the visibility of LGBT commiments is low for most airlines.
