Congress has the power under the commerce clause to ban homemade machineguns

Reversing its prior conclusion, the Ninth Circuit held today in United States v. Stewart that, in light of the Supreme Court's decision in Gonzales v. Raich, Congress can constitutionally use its commerce power to ban homemade machineguns.  Although the case arose out of Arizona, the Oregon Firearms Educational Association participated as amicus curiae.
